Claire E. Shamblin is originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and has lived in Northern Virginia since 1991. She had been a principal at The Bowen Law Firm since 2006 prior to opening Shamblin Law, PLLC.

Ms. Shamblin graduated from W.T. Woodson High School after spending her junior year as a Page for the U.S. House of Representatives. After high school, she attended George Mason University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1997.

Ms. Shamblin graduated from George Mason University School of Law in May 2004 and was admitted to practice in October 2004. During law school, Ms. Shamblin was selected to act as a Writing Fellow, teaching first year law students. She was also a member of Moot Court and the American Inn of Court.

After law school, Ms. Shamblin was selected to clerk for the Honorable Robert W. Wooldridge, Jr. at the Fairfax County Circuit Court. Ms. Shamblin’s previous experience includes clerking at the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and working as a law clerk for the Alexandria Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

Ms. Shamblin has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at George Mason University, where she was the co-director of the George Mason University School of Law Domestic Relations Legal clinic, assisting indigent litigants in obtaining divorces. She currently serves as a conciliator for the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and has been appointed as Special Commissioner of Sale by the Northern Virginia Circuit Courts in numerous cases. Ms. Shamblin has previously been a member of the Fairfax County Circuit Court Committee for the Fairfax Bar and continues to assist in drafting the Fairfax Circuit Court Procedures Manual.

Ms. Shamblin concentrates her practice in the areas of Commissioner of Sale, Family Law, and General Litigation.
